Before you take on an internship in the UK, you will need a Tier-5 visa—specifically the Temporary Work GAE (Government Authorised Exchange) visa, designed for London internships. These are the eligibility criterias on attaining the visa:
- You need to either be a full-time degree student or have graduated within the last two years before the commencement of your internship.
- For those who do not speak English as their first language, you will need to complete a SELT (Secure English Language Test) with a score of 6.0 or above. We also accept a valid IELTS/ TOEFL certificate.
- As a UK immigration requirement, you need to show Proof of Funds with the statement reflecting a minimum of £ 1270. This minimum balance should have been maintained in your account for at least 30 days consecutively at the time of application. This can come from your family or a guarantor.
