Internship and Deposit Guarantee

All our internship programs come with a guarantee to find you an internship matching your preferences, if we fail to find an internship that matches our offer to you, we will provide you with a full refund- this is our promise to you. It is as simple as that! With Capital Placement, we have you covered!

How does this work?

Remote Program

If you have fulfilled your obligation defined in our Remote Terms and Conditions, submitted all the requested documents and if we fail to find an internship within 6 weeks of your final version of your CV being edited by us, we will provide you with a full refund of the application fees and the program deposit. All you have to do is email us letting us know you are no longer interested in going ahead with the internship and we will arrange for a full refund within 7 working days of the request.

In-person programs

If you have fulfilled your obligation defined in our Terms and Conditions, submitted all the requested documents and if we fail to find an internship within 8 weeks of your final version of your CV being edited by us, we will provide you with a full refund of the application fees and the program deposit. All you have to do is email us letting us know you are no longer interested in going ahead with the internship and we will arrange for a full refund within 7 working days of the request.

      FAQ

      You have a deposit guarantee, what about the remaining program fee?

      If we have been unable to find an internship for you within the defined period, the application fee (£50) and the deposit (£600) would be the only fees you would have paid us. The remaining fee(s) is only payable once you have accepted an offer from a firm.

      I would like to change my start date, am I still covered under the internship guarantee?

      We understand plans change and things may come up where you may have to push your start date back. You are welcome to change your start date anytime, however, our guaranteed period will restart once you re-join our program at a future date.

      Capital Placement has not been able to find an internship that matches my preferences, do I get my deposit back?

      This is exactly what we are looking to cover under this guarantee. If we have been unable to find an internship that matches your preferences mentioned in the offer letter to you, we don’t feel we have delivered on our guarantee and so you will be entitled to a full refund of the application fee and the deposit you have paid us provided, it has been at least six weeks (8 weeks for in-person programs) since you have submitted all your documents and your edited CV was ready.

      If you choose to drop out of the program before waiting 6 weeks since your edited CV has been ready, you will not be eligible for a refund. Please see below for more details.

      What if I changed my mind and no longer wish to go ahead with an internship through Capital Placement?

      If you withdraw from the program at any stage of the process, including after an interview, through no fault of CP, you will not be eligible for a refund. You are, however, more than welcome to change the program start date by up to 12 months, if something unexpected happens and you are unable to start your internship at your original start date.

      What if I have been accepted into the program and changed my preferences after paying the deposit?

      Our interviews are carefully constructed around the industry and the program location you have opted for in your application and as a result, our offers are for specific industries in specific locations. If you change your mind about either the location, industry, availability, duration or the type of internship you are looking for, you will be asked to go through another interview, which is related to your new preferences. 

      Our internship guarantee is subject to you meeting your obligations and our full Remote Internship Terms and Conditions/ In-person Internship Terms and Conditions
